After an injury

Auto and Personal-Injury Evaluation

After a collision, fall, or personal injury, the first priority is ruling out emergency needs.

For non-emergency concerns, Complete Rehab QC can document the history and findings, evaluate movement and function, and discuss coordinated care or referral without determining legal fault or guaranteeing insurance payment.

How evaluation begins

Emergency Care Comes Before Office Care

A serious crash, head or spine injury, loss of consciousness, confusion, repeated vomiting, severe weakness, uncontrolled bleeding, chest pain, trouble breathing, or inability to move requires emergency medical evaluation. Some concussion symptoms appear later, so changing symptoms matter.

What to Know Before Choosing Care

02

Build an Accurate Timeline

The provider may ask when and how the injury occurred, which areas were affected, what symptoms appeared immediately or later, what medical care you already received, and how work, sleep, driving, walking, or exercise have changed. Bring available discharge instructions, imaging reports, medication lists, and claim information.

03

Evaluation and Documentation Serve Different Purposes

The clinical record can describe the history provided, examination findings, care, response, and referrals. It does not decide who caused an accident, create a legal conclusion, guarantee coverage, or replace the requirements of an insurer, attorney, or other treating professional.

04

Coordinate Care Around the Presentation

Depending on the evaluation, a plan may involve chiropractic care, rehabilitation, massage, decompression, or other supportive options. The sequence should reflect the injury, current tolerance, medical restrictions, and any need for co-management or referral.

Safety first

Serious or Changing Injury Symptoms Need Medical Care

Call 911 or use emergency care for loss of consciousness, confusion, repeated vomiting, seizure, severe or worsening headache, new weakness or numbness, chest pain, trouble breathing, uncontrolled bleeding, or suspected head or spine injury.
