Low-Level Laser Therapy (Erchonia)

Where our Class 4 laser is built for power and depth, Erchonia low-level laser therapy works through a different mechanism entirely — precision over intensity.

Instead of driving significant energy into deeper tissue, low-level laser therapy delivers a much lower-power beam that produces no meaningful heat, which allows it to be used safely and effectively on more sensitive areas, more superficial conditions, and cases where a gentler, more frequent dosing strategy is the better fit for the tissue.

A Different Depth, for a Different Job.

How Low-Level Laser Therapy Works

At the cellular level, the mechanism is related — light energy is absorbed by the mitochondria, increasing cellular energy output and supporting the body’s own repair process — but the lower power and different wavelength profile make it particularly well-suited to nerve-related conditions, wound healing, and inflammation in smaller joints.

What It Treats

Low-level laser therapy is well-suited to conditions where a gentler, non-thermal approach is the right clinical fit, including:

  • Nerve irritation and neuropathy
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Smaller joint inflammation
  • Wound and post-surgical scar healing

What to Expect

Treatment is quick, non-thermal, and generally imperceptible beyond the light itself — there’s no warming sensation the way there is with Class 4 laser. Sessions are often applied more frequently than Class 4 treatment given the gentler dosing profile.

How It Fits Into Your Plan

We don’t use one laser instead of the other. We use the one that matches the tissue and the condition in front of us — and in some cases, both, at different points in the same plan.

  • Used for nerve and small joint conditions where Class 4’s deeper thermal effect isn’t the right tool
  • Paired with soft tissue therapy for wound and scar tissue healing
  • Combined with Class 4 laser and shockwave as part of a complete plan

Every tool in this clinic gets used because it matches a specific job, not because it’s the newest thing on the market. Low-level laser earns its place for the layer of the problem the bigger laser can’t reach as precisely — and that’s exactly where it goes to work.
